Our Vision

A world where everyone has access to the education and certifications needed to build a fulfilling technical career.

Our Impact

AMS Foundations is opening doors today and building a skilled, diverse workforce for tomorrow—through free, accessible, and industry-aligned training in aviation maintenance and electronics.

Our Mission

AMS Foundations is a nonprofit organization committed to delivering free, high-quality training in aviation maintenance and aerospace technology. We equip students with the skills, certifications, and confidence needed to thrive in competitive technical fields.

We achieve this by:

  • Providing no-cost, standards-based courses that prepare students for FAA A&P, NCATT AET, and FCC GROL certifications

  • Partnering with industry experts to ensure curriculum relevance and hands-on application

  • Supporting learners from underserved communities, veterans, and career changers

  • Offering flexible, instructor-led programs that blend technical excellence with workforce readiness

  • Operating with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to service over profit

Our Equity and Access Commitment

At AMS Foundations, we believe that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Our purpose is to remove financial, geographic, and social barriers to certification and employment by:

  • Elevating diverse voices through student-focused mentorship and advocacy

  • Promoting accessibility through digital-first delivery and community-based support

Our Founding and Future Vision

AMS Foundations was established by experienced military and aviation professionals who recognized a critical need: too many capable individuals are locked out of technical careers due to the rising cost of certification training.

Guided by a passion for service, Foundations launched with a single purpose—to make high-impact aviation education free, accessible, and meaningful.

As we chart the next decade of impact, we are focused on:

  • Scaling access to free A&P, AET, and GROL certification programs

  • Strengthening our partnerships with industry, nonprofits, and government agencies

  • Innovating curriculum to meet the evolving needs of aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors

  • Supporting veterans, high school graduates, and transitioning adults into long-term technical careers

  • Advocating for policy changes that recognize credentialing as a public good

Together, we are training the hands that will maintain, build, and power the future.
